The Dewoitine D.530 aircraft on display at the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace (Air and Space Museum) is designed for aerobatics. It has a higher solidity than the D.27 with its reinforced wings, and its 12-cylinder Hispano-Suiza V engine develops a power of 500 hp (500 CV). It was, with the D 27, the personal plane of Marcel Doret, a renowned international acrobat and a test pilot at Dewoitine until 1939. The D.530 was built in Argenteuil in 1937, and Marcel Doret flew it in numerous airshows until 1955.
