A regulating action in the valley

0
After the retreat and the melting of the glaciers, the moraines constitute natural dams. Circuses abandoned by glaciers are occupied by lakes or invaded by peat bogs. Most of these lakes would have disappeared without human intervention. Just as the lac Noir, they were recreated by the construction of an artificial dike overcoming the glacial lock. It helps regulate the flow of water throughout the year according to human activities in the valleys.
