The forêt d'Orient Regional Natural Park combines three types of environment: large deciduous forests dominated by oaks, agricultural areas for crops, and wetlands. These humid zones consist of ponds and streams and are typical of large reservoir lakes. Due to these characteristics, the natural park is home to an important ornithological diversity. More than 250 species of birds, including 130 nesting ones, flock there. The three lakes of the area are also filled with various species of fish.
