The Haut-Jura experiences a usually abundant snow cover that makes it possible to indulge in all Nordic sports. The French Canada is thus ideal for snowshoeing, sleigh rides, and cross-country skiing. The Grande Traversée du Jura (Jura's trail) passes through the Hautes Combes and its isolated farms in the villages of Lajoux to La Pesse, passing through the Moussières, the Molunes, and Bellecombe. The musher Pierre Daniel is established in the Bois Fous estate in Septmoncel Les Molunes.
