The agricultural surface of Saint-Jeannet today occupies 4% of its 3,603 acres (1,458 ha) of territory. It consists of hills that extend to the east of the village of the Alpes-Maritimes department. Formerly renowned for the richness of its agriculture, the Saint-Jeannet countryside gave pride of place to the cultivation of cereals, perfume flowers (orange blossom, violet, or lavender), and olive trees until the 20th century. It has now refocused on organic market gardening and viticulture for table grapes and wine.
