A protected natural site and a marine nature reserve

Pointe Borgnèse is a protected natural site located between Sainte-Luce and Le Marin at the entrance to the vast Baie du Marin in the south of Martinique. A small path traced in the vegetation from the national road leads to the seaside and the marine nature reserve. The recommended area for snorkeling and observing the seagrass beds and reefs extends along Pointe Borgnèse to Anse Figuier. Pointe Borgnèse is indeed bordered by a reef covered with gorgonians, sea anemones, sponges, and different varieties of coral where one can also find many species of fish (trumpetfish, damselfish, wrasse, butterflyfish, lionfish, etc.) typical of shallow Caribbean waters.
