Created in 2003, the gardens of the Musée International de la Parfumerie are part of a land project led by the Pays de Grasse urban community to raise the public awareness of the memory of the traditional cultivation of perfume plants. Since 2010, they have become the conservatory of the perfume plants of the museum with the mission of presenting to the public perfume plants, aromatic plants and all plants of interest for the history of Mediterranean cultures and perfumery. In addition, the development work carried out has enabled the creation of different basins, fountains, and water points conducive to the development of a fauna that was listed in 2012 during a biodiversity inventory carried out in situ.
