The glass-making process starts from the vitrifiable mixture called composition. It is obtained by mixing the carefully dosed raw materials to which is added a variable percentage of crushed glass (cullet). The addition of at least 10% of crushed glass promotes the vitrification essential for the quality of the glass. It can reach 90% due to the increasing use of recycled glass in glassmaking factories.
