The former foundry of Dommartin-le-Franc, which closed in 1992, displays a rare collection in its Conservatory of Metallurgical Arts. It exhibits 650 art cast-iron models created by a hundred sculptors of the 19th century, 250 machines related to metalworking and forging, and 1,000 arts of fire productions like stoves, fireplaces, and facades. The National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts and the Union of Metallurgies Industries have recently signed an agreement to set up training courses for the young generations in the metallurgical field.
