"L’Estive Bessarde" is both the name of a panoramic site located to the south-east of Lake Pavin in the Puy-de-Dôme department and that of an association of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise. It organizes the "Fête de l'Estive" (Summer Pastures Celebration) there every year during the first Sunday of August. The 2021 occasion would honor the privileged setting of the medieval and Renaissance village of Besse and the Sancy landscapes, around events linked to the techniques and trades of the peasantry and local crafts such as old-fashioned haymaking, cow milking and cheese processing, or sheep shearing.
