A new kid among the clowns!

Off Sri Lanka and the Maldives, a clownfish has been discovered in the depths of the Indian Ocean. The animal lives between 40 to 70 meters deep. It was Maldivians who saw it for the first time during spring 2021. Because of its different shades of pink in the face, the fish was named Cirrhilabrus finifenmaa in honor of the national flower of the Maldives: a rose.
