Dives-sur-Mer is located between the tip of Cabourg and the wooded hills of Houlgate. The Dives estuary protects Port Guillaume's wet dock thanks to a natural dune barrier bordering it. This bar, unusual in the region, offers a quiet shelter for pleasure boats and fishermen. The walk from the harbor master's office of Port-Guillaume to the tip of the Cabourg dune allows observation of the salt marshes and their biodiversity (migratory birds, seagulls, and gulls).
