Madine Lake and its ponds extend at the heart of the Lorraine Regional Nature Park. The 2,718 acres (1,100 ha) lake site is home to more than 250 bird species that live or winter on its waters. Several observation platforms, well integrated into the landscape, allow watching the birds without disturbing their tranquility. Ducks, swans, black-headed gulls, crested lapwings, ospreys, and numerous other species create a multitude of shapes and noises in a preserved natural environment.
