A monastic family with three names
0
0
The name of the monastic family of Bethlehem, the Assumption of the Virgin, and Saint-Bruno, who occupies the Chartreuse de la Verne in the Maures Massif, associates three key moments of Catholicism. Its first name originates from the birthplace of Christ, whom the nuns adore through the Eucharist. The Assumption of the Virgin is linked to the particular circumstances of the community's founding during the promulgation of the eponymous dogma on November 1, 1950, in Saint Peter's Square in the Vatican. Finally, the monastic family is part of the laures tradition of the first monks of the Eastern deserts, transmitted to Saint Bruno in Cologne in the 11th century.
