A member of a recent conurbation

Pierrefeu-du-Var is part of the recent Méditerranée Porte des Maures conurbation that gathers six municipalities east of the Toulon Provence Méditerranée area. Created in July 2010, it initially brought together the municipalities of Bormes-les-Mimosas, Cuers, La Londe-les-Maures, and Pierrefeu-du-Var before integrating those of Collobrières and Le Lavandou in January 2013. The conurbation, which comprised 44,109 inhabitants including 6,065 Pierrefeucains in an area of 265 sqm (428 km²) in 2018, also borders the conurbations of Vallée du Gapeau, Val d'Issole, and Cœur de Var.
