A medieval comic strip
In one of the windows of the space reserved for Point d'Alençon lace of the Musée des Beaux-Arts et de la Dentelle (Museum of Fine Arts and Lace) of the prefecture of Orne is a flounce created at the end of the 19th century by the Maison Lefébure. Said of the princely wedding, it depicts a medieval wedding scene featuring horses and characters in period costumes. This piece, which looks like a small comic strip, impresses with the finesse of its motifs, entirely handmade with a needle and linen or cotton thread.
