A matter of collective and coordination

Seine fishing, still practiced on some Martinican beaches, is a group and coordination affair. Two teams of the same number usually face each other on the ground to pull on each side of the net deployed in an arc in the water. All - men, women, elderly persons, children, tourists - take place along the ropes and pull. The more participants there are, the easier the task. The seine stroke is also accompanied by songs that punctuate everyone's efforts and allow better coordination of movements.
