A master potter like his mother

Born in 1965 Franck Scherer, master potter at the Atelier Soleil in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, started out at the Atelier de Ségriès founded by his mother Tonia Peyrot in 1979. He then created his own workshop, Atelier Soleil, in 1995 with his wife Géraldine Dorche and took over the entire collection of Ségriès molds in 2006. Today one of the oldest earthenware factories in Provence, Atelier Soleil is labeled an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company).
