The geological configuration of the island of Bagaud in the Port-Cros National Park does not facilitate access nor docking. Widely bordered by rocky cliffs, it is also covered with forests of Aleppo pines with undergrowth of high and low maquis of heather, strawberry trees, cistus, pistachio trees, and junipers. The coastal fringe of Bagaud Island consists of halophilic plants, lawns, and sometimes shaggy tree and maritime groups.
