In his workshop in Arinthod, Robert Marichy works the old-fashioned way with hand drawn and dimensional plans for the reproduction of collection items. Each element of the final object is patiently machined on its wood lathe. Thus, to make a spoked wheel like these, he first cylinders the piece of wood until he obtains the right diameters which he checks with his caliper, he decorates the wheel, drills the axles and holes the parts to be hollowed out in order to be able to pass the blade of the scroll saw and eventually sands the whole with papers of different grit.
