In 2006, precisely fifty years after its creation, the Verrerie de Biot obtained the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label. It was created the previous year to promote companies with an economic heritage made up of rare, renowned or ancestral know-how based on the mastery of traditional techniques and inscribed within a defined territory. By highlighting the founding companies of the French economic and cultural identity, this label promotes their national and international media coverage and their tourist attractiveness.
