A living and rich material
0
0
Wood is a living and rich material. It arouses the creative desires of woodturners with its colors, veins, hardness, and flexibility. Turning green wood is easier as the cutter penetrates the material without a problem. On the other hand, some exotic woods have a high silica content that wears tools faster and is sometimes toxic. Some rough or heated hollowed-out woods sometimes have interesting colors for the craftsman. Robert Marichy is inexhaustible when it comes to wood, though he has a predilection for the fibers of boxwood.
