Presenting know-how that has endured for two centuries, the Laguiole Knife Museum located within the Honoré Durand cutlery welcomes visitors. The museum displays the evolution of the knife since the beginning of the 19th century. One can learn there that the factory was maintained in Laguiole in a purely artisanal way until the 1930s. Then, a victim of its success, production was relocated to the town of Thiers. It was in 1987 that a return to its roots took place and that the traditional activity was relaunched in Laguiole.
