A life-size setting

Created as the setting for a television series, Film City is now a ghost town lost in the rocky desert plateaus of Qatar’s Zekreet peninsula. The series takes its title – “Eyaal Al Theeb” (“Sons of the Wolf”) – from the name of a tribe that lives in the eponymous fortified village that became Film City. The plot involves a conflict with the neighbouring tribe, Eyaal Al Ghadab, the Sons of Wrath. This second tribe lives in a village in a mysterious valley not far from the sea. Also reconstructed for the purposes of the scenario, this second ghost village is made up of stone huts resembling troglodyte dwellings backed by mushroom-shaped mineral sculptures.
