The founder of Ecotonia in 2011, a firm of naturalist expertise and environmental engineering, then of Microland, an NGO aiming at a better ecological understanding of the São Tomé and Príncipe archipelago in 2015, Gérard Filippi is an essential player for the preservation of numerous natural heritages. An entomologist and naturalist expert, he aims at placing biodiversity at the heart of land management strategies and decisions. In July 2020, he accompanied The Explorers' team in the footsteps of the cicadas of the Sainte-Victoire massif.
