Przewalski horses (Equus ferus przewalskii) move around the Monts d'Azur Reserve to satisfy their needs for food, water, or shelter. They are not territorial and do not fight to defend a territory with well-delimited borders nor prohibit the intrusion of any other horse. They rather occupy a home range of very variable size ranging from less than one square kilometer to several square kilometers.
