The Trapan dam is a gravity dam commissioned in 1969 that extends on the territory of the Var municipality of Bormes-les-Mimosas in the Maures Massif. It consists of a homogeneous earthen dike 78 ft (24 m) high and 600 ft (183 m) long covered by a waterproof surface on its upstream facing. By the sole weight of its material, the dam retains 2,000,000 cubic meters of water at an altitude of 187 ft (57 m).
