A historically renowned seaside resort

Commonly known as Arromanches, Arromanches-les-Bains is a French municipality populated by a little more than 500 inhabitants in the Calvados department. While the Norman town has built its fame as a seaside resort since 1870, it owes most of its current reputation to the remains of the artificial port of the 1944 landings. The Musée du Débarquement (Normandy Landings Museum) of Arromanches tells the story of the technical challenge of building the Mulberry B artificial harbor using models, videos, and a diorama.
