A historical monument

The castle of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois was sold to the state in 1936 by Count Georges de Vogüé (1898-1987) and classified as a historical monument in 1984. Since 2008, it has been the property of the Regional Council of Burgundy which ensures its management and tourist and cultural development. The castle has recently undergone major works such as the consolidation of the counterscarp wall and the restoration of the 'Logis des Hôtes'.
