A Historical Monument since 1971

The church dedicated to Saint Peter in Sommevoire was listed as a Historical Monument in 1971. Jacqueline Nicolle created a series of three stained-glass windows for the church. She worked alongside René Durrbach at the Notre-Dame-de-l'Espérance Basilica in Charleville-Mézières, from which she drew her inspiration for the glass roofs of Sommevoire. From 1980 to 1982, Jacqueline Nicolle created the three windows of the choir. She also designed the models for the church's nave, the realization of which was entrusted to her.
