A hike through Scots pines
0

The ascent of Roc d'Orméa (3,713 ft / 1,132 m) ends in a forest of Scots pines located at Col du Berceau (3,444 ft / 1,050 m). The aerial summit of Roc d'Orméa then constitutes a brief detour before the stony descent on the southern slope that softens near the valley of Orméa. Turning west, hikers catch up with the GR 51 route that crosses olive groves to the village of Castellar. Perched on Saint-Sébastien hill, it seems to merge with the coastal town of Menton located 4.35 mi (7 km) below.
