The Othe forest covers more than 10,860 hectares of the eponymous country to the south-west of the city of Troyes, in the Aube department. Located at an average altitude of 774 feet (236 meters), it is mainly made up of hard deciduous trees such as mesotrophic hornbeam oaks, calcicolous hornbeam oaks, acidophilic beech oaks, mesophilic beeches and occasionally pubescent oaks on the southern slopes.
