Exaltation-de-la-Sainte-Croix Church dominates the village of Bailly-le-Franc, in the Aube. It is part of a group of half-timbered churches from the 16th and 17th centuries gathered in the northeast of the department. An 85 ft slate-covered spire (26 m) dominates the second span of its nave. Its base is covered with chestnut battens, and flat tiles cross the nave that shows sandpits and posts.
