A greenhouse for exotic species
1
0
The greenhouse at the Village des Tortues of Carnoules is home to various exotic species - such as the Ornate Box Turtles (Terrapene ornata) and Carolina Box Turtles (Terrapene Carolina) - often separated into specific enclosures to avoid fights. Each delimited space includes different habitat areas such as a wetland, a dry open area, a shaded space, or a glazed area. They allow the tortoises to meet their main natural needs: foraging, feeding, breeding, warming up, cooling off, bathing, and hibernating.
