The long and narrow golden sand beach of the Salins d'Hyères stretches for 1.5 mi (2.5km) from the small port of Les Salins (port of Pothuau) to La Londe-les-Maures along a pine forest and a coastal path. Supervised in summer, the beach is mostly attended by families. About 1,640 ft (500 m) from the port, on the edge of the pine forest, an 820 ft (250 m) long wilder and quieter area managed by the Amicale de la Plage Naturiste des Vieux Salins d'Hyères is reserved for naturists.
