A giant 337 pieces of crystal

In 1951, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris organized an exhibition entitled The Art of Glass. The nave is then lit by a monumental chandelier created by Marc Lalique, measuring nearly 3 meters (10 ft) high and weighing nearly 1.7 t (3 747 lbs). After the 1951 exhibition, the chandelier was stored in the reserves of the Museum of Decorative Arts and forgotten. In 2008, the Museum agreed to hand over the chandelier to the Lalique museum in Wingen-sur-Moder. This masterful work which now hangs at the entrance to the museum is made with 337 pieces of crystal.
