A panel affixed at the entrance to the Tufs waterfall site in Planches-près-Arbois in the Jura department warns the visitors flocking to this circus crowned with permeable limestone cliffs cut by erosion. At their base, the resurgence of the 'Petite Source' of the Cuisance river springs from an impermeable marly terrain. The panel invites the walkers to preserve this original place made up of petrified waterfalls sculpted in a fan shape by waters laden with dissolved limestone, but also of a flora and fauna which deserve respect and protection.
