Located on the east coast on the Caravelle peninsula, Tartane is a village in Martinique attached to the municipality of La Trinité. This geographical location allows it to benefit from a calm sea and several beaches (du Bourg, de la Brêche) and coves (l'Étang, Bonneville or Dufour, Spoutourne) of golden sand protected by a coral reef. The gommiers (fishing boats) drawn on the sand or anchored in the bay testify to the durability of Tartane's vocation as a fishing village.
