The Terre de Lin cooperative transforms its flax straw production into scutched linen and tow. Composed of 600 members who all benefit from expertise and advice in order to improve the quality of their products, it is based in Haute-Normandie, a unique region for the worldwide production of quality textile fibers. The cooperative, which stands for 15% of the world's flax production, is a major stakeholder upstream in the textile flax industry. The long fibers, assembled into a ribbon and then stored in barrels, are used to make clothing, linens, technical fabrics, and wall coverings and furnishings.
