Native to places with extreme climates, Siberia then Alaska, the husky has evolved under the strict selection criteria of the Chukchi tribes to adapt to its environment. With its two layers of hair and its biannual moults, it is perfectly adapted to cold, wind, snow, rain but also to heat. Its fluff coat - much more scattered in summer - protects it from the cold in winter. As for its waterproof top coat, it keeps the warm air produced by its body in winter and shelters it from the intense heat of the sun in summer.
