Emmanuel Hondré holds a doctorate in musicology. This diploma is generally obtained at the Sorbonne, but some programs allow attending courses in collaboration with the Conservatories of Music and practicing an instrument. Emmanuel Hondré hence studied the flute at the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse (National Conservatory of Music and Dance) in Paris at the start of his career. He acquired significant musical knowledge that led him to education. He later became director of the concert programming of the Cité de la Musique and the prestigious Philharmonie de Paris.
