A discreet valley dotted with villas
0
0
A discreet valley, hidden by the forest of Les Hogues, descends to the pebble beach of Vaucottes, backed by the cliff of the Roche aux Anglais. On the green plateau overlooking it, luxurious Anglo-Saxon villas bear witness to the early 20th-century craze for sea bathing and seaside stays. Among them, the Villa Marie-Louise is a Neo-Gothic coastal house from the end of the 19th century. The architect Camille Albert built it for the writer Maurice Leblanc and his first wife, Marie Lalanne.
