At Domaine d’Esthine, a true passion for the Cotentin donkeys (Equus asinus) is expressed in their pampering and gentle training. Naturally quiet, the donkey is an herbivorous mammal that belongs to the equidae family. Its long ears are the main difference between it and the horse, which gives it a very fine hearing. In addition to a large field of vision and a powerful sense of smell, the donkey has a very good perception of the surrounding world. Amongst equids, apart from donkeys and horses, there are also zebras, onagers, and hemiones.
