A complex with unusual dimensions

Frank Gehry is a specialist in designing unconventional buildings with often titanic dimensions, such as the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. The complex's 145,313 sq feet (13,500 m²) glass sails surround blocks covered with 19,000 ductal plates (white fiber-reinforced concrete). The building rises to more than 131 ft (40 m) in height and overlooks the Bois de Boulogne and the Jardin d'Acclimatation to which it gives access. The Fondation Louis Vuitton's eleven exhibition galleries offer 41,440 sq feet (3,850 m²) of museum spaces.
