The Bugatti Veyron is one of the jewels of the Cité de l'Automobile's collection. Technical know-how from aeronautics and astronautics allows it to reach a speed of 267 mph (431 km/h) with a complete stop in 10 seconds. The first model was built in 2005 and owed its name to Pierre Veyron, a famous pilot who won the 1939 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Bugatti. The company presents the car's latest version in the Cité de l'Automobile.
