A coastal path accessible from the Basse Corniche links Villefranche-sur-Mer to the Cap de Nice, at the end of the Parc du Mont Boron, passing through the Pointe de la Rascasse. Distant of 2,624 ft (800 m) as the crow flies, the two sites are separated by a rugged and vertiginous relief of mounta cala, a succession of climbs and descents. The path is covered with scrubland, prickly pears, umbrella pines and beds of thyme and dotted with old blockhouses and former ammunition reserves.
