A classic culture of Normandy

Flax is a particularly technical culture that requires know-how, specific equipment, responsiveness, and timing. It grows on its own thanks to the alternation of water and sun and does not require irrigation. Known as Normandy's green gold, the plant benefits from a naturally rich and deep soil and an ideal temperate oceanic climate there. The Terre de Lin cooperative, based in Saint-Pierre-le-Viger in the Seine-Maritime department, provides its 600 members with advice and innovations that help them from seedling to harvest.
