A city based on its omnipresent water

Water is the main wealth of the city of Grasse installed on the high flow source of La Foux, which springs from the Roquevignon massif. Omnipresent in the subsoil of the commune, it reappears in the countless fountains, washing places, and basins of Grasse. It has enabled the activity of the 17th-century tanneries and of the mills, as well as the cultivation of plants for perfumery.
