The bell tower covered with colorful glazed tiles of Saint-Bartholomew Church in Gorbio evokes the polychromy of the sculptures and statues that adorn the interior. The edifice indeed houses two virgins, the Virgin of Gorbio and a Madonna and Child in polychrome wood, as well as sculptures of Christ and Saint Michael. The 17th-century paintings (Adoration of the Shepherds, Crucifixion, Martyr of Saint-Bartholomew...) are attributed to Vento, Puppo, or Ferrari. They produced the canvases of Saint-Michael Basilica in Menton, erected a short time before.
