The right glass for each wine

White wine and red wine glasses differ in shape. The white wine glass has a smaller bowl and slightly straighter sides, which helps concentrate the taste and release the flavours and aromas, without needing to swirl the wine around in the glass. Conversely, red wine glasses have larger bowls and higher sides. Among these, the Burgundy glass resembles a rounded lyre while the Bordeaux glass is more tulip-shaped with a tapered top. Both shapes allow a better propulsion of aromas in the mouth.
